Still new to this blogging thing, but I thought I'd share my knitting experiences from the past week:
Wednesday - S&B meeting at the National Theatre was huge and great (I hadn't been in a long time). I wore my knitted dress and was so pleased at the compliments it received - I must remember to wear my knitted things to the meetings as knitters are (of course) the people who actually appreciate them! I also got lots of compliments on the Entrelac Socks I am slowly working away on.
Friday - Got started on the heap of baby knitting I need to finish by April. (There are 3 babies due on 7th/8th of April, one of which is in Australia, so need to finish that one even sooner!) I made the ever popular Saartje's Bootees which turned out adorable.
Saturday - Walked down the road to local craft shop. They weren't the friendliest, but I did pick up some unusual yarn: Mango Moon Bali Sky. It looked amazing, with a sort of candy cane stripe pattern to it, so I kept on walking down the road to the pub, thinking of what I could do with it. Had a drink, worked a bit on the socks and decided to try yet another Oyster Card Cover with it. When I got home, I gave it a go, hoping that it's tough acrylic-ness would make it an ideal material, however, knitted up it didn't look half as cool as the un-knitted yarn itself. I am now at a loss as to what to do with it. There aren't many projects on Ravelry which use it unfortunately.
That's all for now - off to yet another pub for Sunday lunch where hopefully more knitting will ensue and my companions won't be too embarrassed to be seen with me :)
